Synopsis
Gagan, who lives in Punjab, India, has had an acute respiratory problem since 2 years ago and even now needs regular checkups. It's because of the serious air pollution. Sabyah, who lives in the coal mining area in Australia, everyday witnesses air and water pollution from fossil fuel and unceasing wild fires caused by climate change. Fatou from Pampi, Senegal has to spend hours fetching water because of the desertification and the long drought. This leaves her with little time to study for school. In Indonesia, Nina is surrounded by mountains of plastic wastes illegally imported from Europe and America. However, the girls do not collapse and cry in front of the environmental disasters. Don't look down on them because they are only teenagers. These girls are already environmental activists in action and the future of the Earth.

Irja von Bernstorff

German director and producer Irja von Bernstorff has made numerous documentaries on the future of sustainable cities and environment. In 2013, Irja moved to Bhutan and she was the first foreigner to direct a series for the Bhutan Broadcasting Service. In 2016, her documentary on Bhutanese rural issues, received the best documentary award at the Poland International Film Festival. ironmental activists in action and the future of the Earth.
