Synopsis

우리는 식량문제에 대해 별다른 생각없이 살아가고 있다. 그러나 기후변화는 식량위기를 불러오고 있다. 식량생산은 물 없이는 불가능하다. 그러나 기후변화로 인해 지속되는 가뭄은 곡물수출국을 수입국으로 변화시키고 있다. 우리의 식량사정도 안전하지 못한 것이 현실이다. 뜨거운 지구로 인해 촉발될 식량위기는 세계적 공황상태를 만들것이 분명해 보인다. 이러한 공황상태는 곡물가를 상승시키고 굶주림으로 몰리는 인구는 더욱 늘어나게 될 것이다. 기후변화는 지구를 농업의 황무지로 만들 것임을 이 다큐는 경고하고 있다.

We don't normally think about food problems. But climate change is giving rise to food crisis. Food cannot be produced without water. And because of the continuing drought caused by climate change, grain exporters are becoming grain importers. Our food supply is not really secure anymore. It seems evident that food crisis triggered by global warming will bring about a great depression in the world, which will then raise the price of grains and make more and more people go hungry. This documentary is warning us that climate change will turn the Earth into uncultivable wasteland.
