Synopsis

해파리를 통해 지구온난화 문제와 해양생태계의 실상을 다룬 다큐로 2007년에 제작되었다. 6억5천만년을 살아온 해파리는 어떻게 이렇게 오랜 시간을 이어져 왔을까? 해파리는 해양생태계에 어떤 영향을 미칠까? 해파리의 번성은 연안어업에 막대한 피해를 유발하고 있다. 해파리 독성은 사람을 죽음에 이르게 만들기도 한다. 연안개발과 쓰레기는 해파리의 번성을 부르고있다. 기후변화로 인한 수온의 상승이 예사롭지 않다. 이로인한 해양생태계의 변화가 가져올 문제들을 해파리의 침공을 통해 살펴본 다큐이다.

This documentary about jellyfish was made in 2007 to deal with global warming and marine ecosystem. Jellyfish have survived for 650 million years. How could they exist for such a long time? What roles do they have in marine ecosystem? Jellyfish abundance is causing a great damage to costal fishery and their toxin can be lethal to humans. Jellyfish prosper on costal development and garbage. The water temperature warming subsequent to climate change is nothing normal. Its impact on marine ecosystem is examined in this documentary through the invasion of the jellyfish.

Director
