작고 매력적이지만 다혈질인 요정 시히야는 고향 숲을 떠나 섬세한 성격의 열한 살 소년 알프레드를 만난다. 시히야와 알프레드는 급속히 가까워지고 함께 즐거운 시간을 보낸다. 그러던 어느 날 도시의 거리에서 죽은 새들이 보이기 시작한다. 아마 고약한 냄새를 풍기는 비료회사가 그 주범인 듯하다. 알프레드와 시히야는 자연을 위협하는 존재가 무엇인지 찾아내야만 한다.

Alfred is a quiet and sensitive boy. When a fairy called Sihja appears in his house, magical things start to happen in his ordinary life. The film stimulates children's imagination and also reveals the reality while the kids are tracking the cause of the birds' death. At this moment, Sihja is not a Tinker Bell who takes us to the fairy world but a guide who makes us recognize the beings that threaten nature. In the end, we realize through Sihja that the notion of human being superior to nature is an illusion. Through the eyes of the two pure and good children, we see that the future of transformed nature will not last long even if it's all for human convenience.
