Synopsis
2021년 봄, 기후변화로 인해 최악의 서리를 맞은 프랑스 포도 농가는 사상 초유의 타격을 입는다. 이 영화는 당시 2주 동안 밤낮으로 포도나무 곁을 지키는 포도 농가의 악전고투기다. 이른 서리로 얼어붙은 포도나무를 녹이기 위해 불을 피우고 첨단 시스템이 동원되기도 한다. 뚜렷한 해결책이 없는 상황은 첨예한 이견을 낳기도 하지만 기후변화에 맞서 포도 나무를 구하기 위한 이들의 의지는 한결같다. 해를 더할수록 잦아지는 이상기온에 농가들은 어떻게 대응할 것인가? 기후변화 위기 앞에 선 포도재배자들의 진솔한 고민과 일상을 함께 할 수 있는 시간이다.
French winegrowers experience unprecedented damages having the worst frost ever in spring 2021 because of climate change. This is about the desperate struggle they went through day and night for 2 weeks to save the grapevines. To thaw the frosted fruit trees, they light up large candles and even use high-tech devices. The seemingly insoluble situation brought about severe disagreements but their resolve to save the grapevines from climate change has not withered. What can they do in the face of the worsening temperature anomalies? We get to hear about the vintners' struggles and challenges in front of climate change.

플로리앙 르볼은 조감독을 거쳐 비디오 아티스트, 배우로 활동 중이다. 코랑탱 테르므는 프랑스 투르대학에서 지리학을 전공했다. <포도나무와 지구 온난화에 관한 새벽의 약속>은 박사 논문의 일환으로 플로리앙 르볼과 공동연출한 작품이다.
