Synopsis

축산업과 기후변화. 현재의 축산업을 유지하기 위해서는 엄청난 양의 곡물과 물이 필요하다. 축산업을 통해 배출되는 온실가스 역시 전체 교통수단이 배출하는 온실가스보다 많다. 물 절약 캠페인이 벌어지고, 자동차산업은 전기자동차로 전환되고 있다. 그런데 정작 축산업의 문제는 잘 거론되지 않는다. 얼마나 많은 물을 사용하는지, 얼마나 많은 온실가스가 배출되는지 알려주지 않는다. 왜일까? 환경파괴와 기후변화의 큰 요인이라는 축산업. 관련 단체들은 왜 침묵하고 있을까? 이 다큐멘터리는 그 속살을 파헤쳐 본다.

Animal Agriculture and Climate Change. Animal agriculture requires enormous amount of grains and water to keep in the current form. And it is emitting far more greenhouse gases than the whole transportation industry. People are campaigning for water conservation and switchover to electric vehicles. But no one really challenges the problems of animal agriculture. We don't get to hear how much water is used or how much greenhouse gas is emitted. But why? Animal agriculture being the leading cause of environmental degradation, why are the environmental organizations so silent? This documentary digs it up.
